Lifetime care

Polish, ultrasonic cleaning, and coating

These three kinds of care last as long as you own the piece.

  1. Polish

Gold and silver surfaces are brought back when wear shows. The work is available for as long as you own the piece.

  2. Ultrasonic

Settings that can take a bath are cleaned that way. Stones or findings that should stay dry are cleaned by hand instead.

  3. Coating

A worn plated finish can be restored. Solid metal is not described as plated, and plated metal is not described as solid.

The register

What the house sells and does

  1. Gold and silver jewelry

Rings, chains, earrings, and cuffs are sold on the Kennedy Road South floor. Each metal piece carries the maker's metal note.

  2. Exclusive accessories

Scarves, clips, and small leather pieces are sold in Brampton. Short runs can also go to other shops that ask by email.

  3. Designer shoes and bags

Pairs and bags are retail stock for this room, not a full size curve of every last. Ask what is actually on the shelf before you visit.

  4. Fitting and engraving

A band can be fitted, and a short inscription can be cut into metal that will take the tool. The wording is agreed in writing first.

  5. Gemological consulting

A booked hour covers stone type, the metal note, and whether a piece suits the occasion you named. The exam notes stay with the piece.

  6. Rare collection preorders

When a collection is not on the shelf, Feddys records a named hold. You are called when it reaches Brampton.

  7. International express

Parcels leave 5-50 Kennedy Road South for Canada, the United States, and overseas. The carrier and customs set the transit time.

The bench

Fitting and engraving, in four notes

  1. Measure

The band or finding is sized against the fit you need.

  2. Agree

Engraving text is written down before any cut is made.

  3. Work

The bench does only the fit or the inscription named on that note.

  4. Return

Metal, stone, and setting are checked again before the piece goes back to you.

Gemological exam

Three passes before a piece is offered

  1. Metal

Gold and silver are checked against the maker's note. Plated work is labeled plated.

  2. Stone

Natural stones are checked against the stated species. A simulant is not sold as the natural stone.

  3. Setting

Prongs, engraving, and surface coating are reviewed. A failed pass stays off the floor and out of a wholesale lot.

Questions for the desk

Do you sell wholesale and retail?

Single pieces sell on the Brampton floor. Shops can ask by email for short runs of accessories.

What does lifetime care include?

Polish, ultrasonic cleaning where the piece can take it, and restoration of a worn coating. It does not replace a lost stone or rewrite an engraving.

How does a rare-collection hold work?

You are listed against a named collection. Feddys calls the number you leave when the pieces arrive at Kennedy Road South.

What do the three exam passes cover?

The metal note, the natural stone, and the setting. A piece that fails one pass is not offered.
